Monroe Times pub. date 15 Nov 1985 Contributed by Cathy CKubly9527@aol.com FITZ-GIBBON, Paul, Sr. - Obit Surnames:  FITZ-GIBBON, MARTY, McKENNA, SCANLON, SHOWALTER, WINTON Paul Fitz-Gibbon, Sr., 80, of Redding CA, died Wed 13 Nov 1985 in Redding. Born in Beverly MA 8 Oct 1905.  Son of Thomas & Ellen (SCANLON) FITZ-GIBBON.  Attended Exeter Prep School in NH & Bowdin (sic.) College IN Maine. On 26 Aug 1931 he married Katherine MARTY, a former Monroe resident, in Cleveland OH. He was the manager of the Montgomery Ward Store in Monroe for many years.  Later founder & operator of Wadsworth Millworks Corp in Wadsworth OH for 20 years.  Lived in Lake Wood (sic.) OH for many years.  Was a longstanding member of the Lake Wood (sic.) Country Club.  Retired to West Covina CA in 1964.  Lived in Redding for the past two years. Survivors include his wife, Katherine of Redding; two sons, Paul Jr. of Los Angeles & William of  Van Nuys CA; three daughters, Mrs Joseph (Jane) McKENNA, Redding, Mrs. John (Susan) WINTON, Elmhurst IL, & Mrs Robert (Carol) SHOWALTER of the WI Dells-Lake Delton area; & 12 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents & four brothers, Thomas, William, Elmer & Francis. Graveside services Sat 16 Nov 1985 Calvary Cemetery, Monroe.  Rev Roger NILLES of St Victor's Catholic Church officiating.
